Rear-Admiral Drummond’s Departure Pending
SUCCESSOR TO BE SELECTED Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, Last Night. The name of the successor to RearAdmiral the Hon. E. R. Drummond, Commodore of the New Zealand Division of the Royal Navy, and first member of the Naval Board, whose term of service expires very shortly, will be announced within the next week or two.
The Minister of Defence (Hon. F. Jones) said to-day that the position had not been definitely determined, and that he was not in a position at the moment to make the announcement. "Very probably it will be made in the next week or so," he added. Rear-Admiral Drummond’s term of three years expires this month, and it is expected that he will depart for England in June.
