Store Cattle Offering at Waipuknrau POOR FAT ENTRIES * Frod Our Own CorrespondentWAIPUKURAU, Last Night. Store cattle made up the principal section in to-day’s offering at Waipukurau, when about 800 head were penned. The yarding incV-ded entries from the Feilding district, the older cattle from there being in lighter condition than the 20-months entries. The market was unchanged from last week, and older cattle making early finishing propositions met with the best demand, they realising from £lO 6/- to £lO 14/-. Several good quality young bullocks in forward order were offered, a line on account of Mr M. Seversen, ol Makaretu, topping the sale at £lO 14/-, Several useful lines of 20-months steers were offered, realising to £6 16/-. Two-off steers were not up to the standard of those offered last week. Cows, with calves at foot, improved slightly for the better lines, selling to £7 15/-. The fat cattle were a poor selection, being unfinished and lacking quality. A moderate yarding of fat sheep consisted chiefly of ewes, which were in better order than last week, and the market showed a marked improvement. Freezing ewes made to 15/-, medium quality to 18/- heavy and prime 22/-, very late shorn 20/-. Extra prime Southdown brought 20/-, and medium wethers 24/6. Realisations were as under:-' FAT CATTLE. Eight small to medium framed dehorned Hereford heifers, lightly finished, realised £7 10/-. An entry of mixed A.A. cross cows, showing plain quality and lightly finished, sold at £6 10/-. An entry of small to medium grown A.A. and Shorthorn bullocks, lightly finished, brought £lO 2/6. STORE CATTLE. On account of Mr M. Seversen, Makaretu, 25 well-bred dehorned Hereford bullocks, in very forward condition, an attractive offering of quality young cattle, sold at £lO 14/. From the Fielding district, 50 two-off, and three-off A.A. steers, failed to attract a bid. From the same district, 73 similarbred 20-months steers, medium grown and in better order than the previous line and showing good coats, brought £6 16/-. An offering of about 60 similar-aged steers, slightly smaller grown than the previous pen but in good hardy condition, were passed at £6 10/-. On account of Mr W. Edgecombe, 25 fairly-grown A.A. bullocks, in forward store condition and should be an early finishing proposition, sold at £lO 13/-. An entry of 16 Hereford cows, in very poor condition (1.C.H.) with late calves at foot, brought £4 16/- in a slow sale. An offering of 36 nicely-grown wellbred 20-months Hereford steers, in good doing condition and showing good coats, made good buying at £6 15/-. These steers should develop into quality young cattle. A line of 36 A.A. three-off steers, fairly grown and in good to forward condition, were passed at £lO 6/-. A line of 26 mixed-bred, well-framed, empty station cows, with an equal number of calves by an A.A. bull at foot, sold at £7 15/-. STORE SHEEP. A line of 146 aged store ewes, well framed but in hard condition, brought 10/6. A line of 4, 5 and 6-yr. ewes, (r.w. S.D.) in light condition, some being very poor but quite well-mouthed, failed to attract any interest to sell at 14/8. On account Mr. R. McKenzie, Mangaorapa, 195 fairly well grown, wellwoolled Romney cross wether lambs, In forward order, a good quality line and should winter well, met the market at 17/6.

On account Ngawaka Station, 892 early shorn, well-grown Romney cross wether lambs, in good condition, a useful high-country line which should develop into first class two-tooth wethers, met the market at 16/3.

In from Ongaonga, 130 medium-grown Romney woolly lambs in very light condition, including some small sorts, -old at 12/10.

A line of 47 well-framed, early-shorn fat and forward two-tooth wethers, in splendid order, sold at 23/6.
