PUBLIC NOTICE OF PROPOSED APPLICATION FOR SANCTION OF LOAN. JTOTICE IS HEREBY given that the Manawatu County Council proposes at its Meeting to be held on 12th April, 1938, to consider a motion to apply to the Local Government Loans Board for its sanction to the borrowing of a sum of £3OOO being a Housing Loan under Section 28 of “The State Advances Corporation Act, 1936,” for the erection of three houses within the County of Manawatu. As security for the purpose of repayment of the Special Loan and the payment of interest thereon the Council proposes to pledge the rents derived from the letting of the houses and in addition proposes to make and levy a special rate of one seventy-fifth of a penny (l/75th.) in the pound upon the rateable value on the basis of the unimproved value of all rateable property in the County of Manawatu. Any person having any objection to the proposed application is called upon to submit the same in writing to the Manawatu County Council not later than the day preceding the said Meeting.
