Hot Weather in Wellington
HIGHEST TEMPERATURE FOR YEARS Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, Last Night. To-day’s maximum temperature of 81.2 degrees in Wellington was the highest since February, 1935, and was a record for either March or April since 1865 when regular records were first kept. The record for March, established in 1877, still stands at 80.5 degrees but to-day’s reading is considerably hotter than the previous best for April although 77.8 degrees was recorded in 1924.
