Big Entries and Easier Values at Addington

Per Press Association. CHRIS J. CHURCH, Last Night. The total sheep entries at to-day’s Addington market approximated 42,u00 of which about 30,UU0 were breeding ewes. These sold at a shade below recent ewe fair rates for aA serviceable sorts, but for a big showing of aged ewes there was a poor sale. Good two-tooths made from 29s to 325, a tuppen to 38s, ordinary 23s to 265. Store lambs met with a sharp decline of about 2s a head on a week ago. Best rape lambs made from 16s to 18s, medium 14s to 15s od and small and backward 9s to 12s. Fat lambs: This section sold in accordance with the reduced export schedule of a farthing per lb. Butchers paid slightly above this rate for ftie weightier sorts. Fat sheep: A moderate-sized penning and an casing over the eariier stages by 2s a head, but most of this drop was recovered in the later part of the sale. Best wethers sold from 27s to 31s, top pens to 32s 7d, medium to good wethers 23s to 265; best ewes 19s to 235, the top pen at 26s 7d, mtediuni los fid to 19s and inferior down to 11s. Fat cattle: 565 were penned and a weaker market because of tTSj heavy over-supply. Best beef made from 32a to 35s per 1001bs., a few pens of tops to 375; heavy prime steers sold from £l4 to £l6 17s fid, good average steers £ll 10s to £l3 10s; the best of cows and heifers sold from £8 10s to £ll 15s and light heifers and cows down to £5.

Fat pigs: A short entry of porkers aud a rise of about 3s. Porkers mado from 39s 6d to 57s fid, average price per lb. fi£d to 6Sd; baconers 55s 6 d to £4 7s fid, average per lb. 6id to fi^d. ►Store pigs: A large entry and a drop in prices. Weaners 5s 6d to 14s, slips <ns to ISs. stores 20 to 355.
