Feilding Football Club

ANNUAL MEETING The annual meeting of the Feilding Football Club was held last evening, Mr. T. Collins (president) presiding over an excellent attendance. Moving the adoption or the report and balance-sheet, the chairman said that the season opened full of promise for t<he club but terminated minus the success so early indicated. He regretted a junior team had not been entered because the senior grade needed a strong recruiting ground. Generally there were plenty of players offering at the commencement of the season but all could not be included in the senior team and it therefore behoved players to accept, iu the best of grace, the selector's decision. Mr. Collins paid a warm tribute to the excellent work of the coaches and praised the first aid assistance rendered by Mr. V. Morphy. Thanks were also due to Mr. J. Nicol, the club’s secretary. Touching on the balance-sheet, Mr. Collins said that the funds were in a good condition but he hoped that members would be prompt with their subscriptions and so assist the club to meet its commitments.
