•NIGHT CLUB SCANDAL” John Barrymore, renowned actor of stege and screen, appears in the leading part of ’Night Club Scandal,” Paramount’s new chiller which opens on Friday at the Kosy. Barrymore plays the part of Dr. Tindal, scientist who plans the “perfect crime.” This is Barrymore’s third picture for Paramount under his new contract. He recently completed two “Bulldog Drummond” pictures at the same studio, turning immediately to his part in “Night Club Scandal” at their close. Simultaneous with despatching the vanguard of his “The Buccaneer” company to the Louisiana delta country where certain exteriors of the production will be filmed, C. B. DeMille has started recruiting his pirate crews. Some 130 of Hollywood’s roughest and gruffest characters have been for a casting interview, from among whom, Fredric March’s Baritarians will he chosen. March plays Jean Lafitte, pirate-patriot who came to the aid of the American naval forces during the war of 1812.
