Victorian Tourists Arrive

STUDY OF STATE'S RESOURCES Per Press Association. INVERCARGILL, Last Night. To gain an insight into the developments in the primary and secondary industries of the Dominion and to visit New Zealand’s scenic resorts, a party of 62 business men, graziers and primary producers arrived at Bluff by the Alaunganui from Alelbourne. The party, which is known as a " reso ’' party, is thoroughly representative of all interested concerns and comprises principally residents of Victoria. The organiser of the tour is Air. L. C. Bromilow, a member of the Betterment and Publicity Board of the Victorian Railways and of the central executive of Australian Development Tours. The leader of the party is Hon. H. H. Olney, AI.L.C., of Victoria, and also with the visitors is Air. J. A. Alalcolm, Melbourne representative of the New Zealand Government Tourist Bureau. "Reso" was an abbreviation for the word "resources," explained Mr. Olney in an interview. It was to allow persons an opportunity to view the ►State's resources that tours were originally started. This was the first "reso'’ tour to any other country and the venture indicated that the {State was not parochial in its ideas. The party left for Queenstown to-day.
