To Celebrate 90th Birthday
mr. j. McFarland, of aorangi. This week Mr. James McFarland, of Aorangi, will celebrate his 90tli birthday. A very familiar figure in Feilding over a long period of years, Mr. McFarland will receive the congratulations so deservedly due to one who has lived up to the highest traditions of citizenship. On Sunday last office bearers and members of St. Paul’s Presbyterian Church met Mr. McFarland to convey to him their congratulations upon his attaining such a ripe old age. Mr. McFarland has been a member of the church for his long life, and to mark their good wishes a presentation was made by Kev. A. L. Dixon, who very feelingly conveyed the sentiments of those present.
