The following resolutions were passed at tho annual convention of the Women’s Christian Temperance Union:— “That in cases where families of men on sustenance are known to be suffering privation through the men’s drinking habits sustenance money be paid to tho wife or some other responsible person.” “That the union approach the Government pressing for provision to be made in the law for the inclusion of Women on juries. ’ ’ “That the union continues to press for the employment of women police.” “That the Government be urged to introduce immediate legislation regulating the sale of contraceptives and prohibiting sale to young people.”
