From Our Own Correspondent. School Committee. The monthly meeting of the school committee was held last week. Present were Alessrs A. F. McKenzie (chairman), A. A. O’Donnell, W. T. Maxwell, W. Andrew, O. Jackson (secretary) and R. Abraham (headmaster.) The headmaster reported that the roll was 98, and the average attendance 91. During the month the acnooi had been visited by Air Lange, who had judged the mangold plots, and the Board s senior inspector. The visiting committeeman reported various matters that needed attention. He also reported on the workcarried out by the Public Works Department. The secretary was instructed to write to the Oroua County Council and request that the footpath be cleaned of weeds, and generally tidied up. Mr W. Andrews was appointed visitor for March.

Personal. The friends of Air R. Marshall Dixon s line, will regret to learn that he has had to enter hospital. Air W. Powell, who underwent an operation recencly, is making good progress. Airs Cundy has returned from hospital, after undergoing an operation, Mr and Mrs W. Greig, of Wanganui, are the guests of Air and Airs White, Dixon a Orange is a visitor to Bunnythorpe.
