Miniature Rifle Shooting
LONGBUKN CLUB. —Tho seventh annual meeting of tho Longbuni Miniature Rifle Club was held on March 7. Mr W. F. Birch was in the chair, and there was a fair attendance of members. Tho annual report and balance-sheet were read, showing that the club’s finances were in a sound state. The following were elected:—Patron, Mr W. R. Kells; president, Mr F. S. Birch; vice-presidents, Messrs D. Kernohan, T. Ormsby, F. Brown, T. Cooksley, A. Nicol, G. Hoffman, U. Allman, W. Sutherland, and W. Matheson; hon. secretary and treasurer, Mr C. Cooksley; club captain, Mr W. F. Birch; vice-captain, Mr H. Mabey; committee, Messrs A. Gale, E. Strong, X. Woodill, G. Hoffman, W. F. Birch, H. Mabey and C. Cooksley. The retiring secretary, Mr W. F. Birch, was accorded a hearty vote of thanks for the splendid work he had done for the club during his term of office. A hearty vote of thanks was accorded Mr W. E . Wilson for his services of auditor for the club. Members and intending members iffease note that tho club w'ill be holding the opening night on the 21st instant.
