From Our Own Correspondent. Outdoor School. Following tho Education Department’s instructions, the local school is observing an outdoor scheme of work during the month of February. In this connection, visits have been paid to various points of interest, the senior - crass last Tuesday paying a visit to the local cheese factory. Through the courtesy of Mr M. Kristensen, the children were able to see the various stages of cheese-making. At the conclusion of the visit, Mr Kristensen offered, to .donate prizes to the seniors and juniors for the best essay on the day’s visit. On Wednesday afternoon, through the courtesy of Mr Toms, the children were taken to the , Tiritea waterworks, where everything was fully explained to them; Thanks are due to Messrs N. Chowen, H.\ Hill and L. Craven for providing conveyance.
