The first meeting of the Oatpin Cup sports, under the auspices of the Mar ton Amateur Athletic Club, was held on Tuesday evening. There were several fine finishes, but entries in the cycling and the attendance of the public were not quite as good as formerly. The results were:— Men’s running: 100yds. handicap, K. Coles 1, W. Bush 2, L. Moss 3; 440yds., K. Coles 1, C. Mullins 2, A. Busli 3; 880yds., W. Edge 1, A. Button 2, ,T. Whale 3; one mile, J. Mackie 1, S. Ireland 2, I. Mainwaring 3. Ladies’ events: 75yds., Miss A. Gibbs 1. Miss I. Ellery 2, Miss B. Griken 3; 100yds., Miss R. Christian 1, Mrs I. Hammond 2, Miss A. Gibbs 3. Cycling: Half-mile, G. Bromley 1, L. Hazelwood 2, R. Stafford 3; two miles, E. Gibbs 1, T. brider 2, B. Dombusch 3; three miles, JU. Gibbs 1, L. Hazelwood 2, N. Ellery 3; boys’ half mile, W. Patching 1, T. Allen 2, K. Brider 3; boys’ 100 yards, M. Whale 1, B. Hogan 2, A.
