Feilding Returned Soldiers
MEETING OF COMMITTEE At a meeting of the committee of the Feilding branch of the Returned Soldiers' Association held on Thursday night considerable correspondence was received from headquarters concerning the forthcoming trip to Sydney. The attention of branches was drawn to suggestions regarding the dress of men making the trip, the desire being that they should as far as possible wear dark suits and black footwear. It was stated quota for both the Maunganui and the Monowai had been filled. It was agreed to suggest to headquarters that the New Zealand contingent should wear a poppy on the march through Sydney. Arrangements were finalised for the holding of the annual meeting of the association in April and also for the observance of Poppy Day in Feilding.
