Athletic Carnival at Feilding

LAST NIGHT'S GATHERING Under the auspices of the Feilding Amateur Athletic and Cycling Club an excellent sports programme was held at Kowhai Park last evening in aid of the Feilding Cricket Association's pavilion fund. The organisation was a credit to the Athiptic Club officials, headeu by the manager, Mr. F. A. Dalzell, and to that willing band of cricketers under Mr. T. Donalison, who arranged the splendid track lighting. Weather conditions were perfect and the presence of a good cro vd augured well for the success of the Cricket Association’s venture. Gordon Eliott, president of the Feilding Cricket Association, addressed the gathering through a loud-speaker explaining the objects of the carnival and appealed for the utmost public support to enable the new pavilion to be built.
