MARTON SALE. The N.Z. Farmers* Co-op. Distributing Co., Ltd., report an entry of 1100 sheep at the above sale on Tuesday. Competition was keen on all lines submitted and the general tone of the market was firm on recent sales. A line of purebred Romney ewe lambs on account of Mr R. T. N. Fergusson, realised 30/-. We quote:— Two-tooth ewes, 25/3 to 30/-; 4-yeat ewes to 25/6; 5 and 6-year ewes, 14/1 to 20/-; ewe lambs, 11/6 (small) to 26/4; wether lambs, 10/3 (small) to 16/1; 2-shear S.D. rams to 2gns.; 1shcar S.D. ram to 2£gns. MANGAOHANE SALE. The N.Z. Farmers’ Co-op. Distributing Co., Ltd., report an excellent attendance of outside and local buyers at the above sale on Tuesday. Considering the exceptionally dry summer conditions experienced on the high country, the sheep as a whole came forward in excellent condition. The 2 and 4-tii 'wethers were all secured by Mr Thomas Currie of Wanganui, while Waikato buyers secured a fair proportion of the ewes. The following are the prices realised:— 915 4-th wethers, 22/6; 1459 2-th wethers, 21/-; 213 2-th wethers, IS/6; 101 2-th ewes (small), 19/6; 174 4-th ewes, 24/-; 94 4-year ewes, 22/6; 1030 5-year ewes, 26/1; 501 5-year ewes, 25/; S 5 5-year ewes, 21/-; 637 5-year ewes, 23/4; 171 6-th ewes, 26/-; 303 small ewe lambs, 10/2; 675 ewe iambs, 13/-; 919 wether lamibs, 9/6; 343 wether lambs, 6/2. 133 23-year steers, £7 18s; 94 3\-year steers, £8 10s; 29 21-year heifers, £5 18s; 40 18-months heifers, £4 3s; 23 cows and calves, £G 2s. Horses £l2 10s to £3O.
