The news of the sudden death of Mr. Thomas I. Boddy was received with profound regret in Levin and district, where ho was very well known and highly respected. Deceased was walking over Mr. S. Sloan’s property, on Foxton road, when he collapsed and passed away. Born at Turakina 62 years ago, the late Mr. Boddy lived for some time in the Feildlng and Bunnythorpe districts. He went to Levin some years ago and was manager of Hon. Edward Newman’s property on Foxton Road, known as “Kai Kai”. Leaving there during the years of the Great War, he went to Hunterville, where he had charge of the “Mount View” and “Otiwhiti” stations. He returned to Levin some eight years ago and had lived in semi-retirement at the Village Settlement. Deceased is survived by his wife.
