Obituary
The death occurred last Monday week after a lengthy illness of Mr William Donald Shepherd who, since May of last year, together with his wife, has been proprietor of the Armidale private hotel, Rotorua. Mr Shepherd, who was 61 years of age, had not enjoyed good health for some time past. Prior to going to Rotorua, the deceased gentleman was engaged as a builder at Cheltenham, near Feilding, and prior to that was engaged in the same class of business in Woodville and Hamilton. The late Mr Shepherd was a native of Scotland, and came to New Zealand about 32 years ago. The widow and a married daughter, Mrs Harold Branch, remain to mourn their loss.
