Safe Stolen and Robbed
THIEVES GET SMALL HAUL Per Press Association. INVERCARGILL, Last Night. During the early hours of this’morning a safe wan stolen from the business premises of M. Tangney, hairdresser and tobacconist at Wyndham. The safe contained only a few notes and silver amounting to just over £5. Two doors were prised open by jemmies and tracks of a trolley similar to those used for carting bugs of grain and manures made it clear how the safe had been removed from, the shop. The safe was later found open and battered in the public domain some distance from the shop.
