Unionism in Fire Brigades
CONFERENCE DISCUSSION Per Press Association. NEW PLYMOUTH, Last Night. Opposition to unionism for fire brigades and criticism of any suggestion of interfering with volunteers, were expressed at the conference of the New Zealand United Fire Brigades’ Association. Alembers strongly criticised methods adopted by the union in its approach to various brigades and denied the accuracy of statements made by the union federation secretary, Air. L. Glover, of Wellington. No resolution was passed, the matter being deferred until to-morrow.
