Manawatu Heads

From Our Own Correspondent. Benzine thieves are on.the prowl again. Two were disturbed recently in the early hours of the morning when busy siphoning benzine from the car of a resident. An attempt had also been made to remove the battery. Wellington visitors to the beach were Mr and Mrs G. Murray and family, who spent a week hero recently. Mrs F. Whitley and Mrs J. Deventier (Palmerston North), who have been in Pullyn’s house for a week, returned home on Thursday. Mr and Mrs IL. Hubbard and family, ol Feilding, are spending a fortnight here, and are m Boniface’s house in Seabury avenue. Mrs Huse and her daughter, Gloria, of Palmerston Nort.h, who have both been in indifferent health, are spending a month here to recuperate. Mr and Mrs I». C. Malcolm and family, with Mr F. Pedersen (Palmerston. North), are in Turner’s house for a fortnight. Mr and Mrs Hunt (Fitzherbest West), who have been the guests of Mrs Barnaby, returned home on Friday. Mr and-Mrs A. D. Farragher and family (Palmerston North), are at their beach cottage for a week. Mr and Mrs G. Niehol (Halcombe), and Miss LJna Chamberlain (Longburn) have taken a house in Seabury avenue. Mrs S. Turnbull (Woodville), Mr H Marks and Mr O. A. Turnbull (Wellington)) are in Coutts’s house for a fortnight. Mr and Mrs W. Proctor (Palmerston North), who recently purchased Hansell’s house on the river-front, are now in occupation. They are accompanied by their daughter, Mrs P. E. Larcombe and son.
