From Our Own CorresDondent. Young Farmers’ Club. Mr W. S. Couper presided over a good attendance of the meeting of the Young Farmers’ Club last week. The speaker was Mr G. S. Robinson, who spoke on “Dips and Dipping.” This subject proved very interesting. A vote of thanks was accorded the speaker. It was decided to hold a judging class (for members) of two Jersey heifer calves, at the forthcoming show. For the next meeting the speaker will be Mr T. L. Seddon, of Feilding, his subject being “Tlio Farmers and the Law.” Garden Party. A garden party was held at the home of Mr and Mrs C. Hall on Thursday afternoon, the proceeds being in aid of the funds for the Methodist Church. Competitions and a bring and buy stall netted quite a considerable sum for the fund, competition winners were: Clook golf, Mrs F. Billinghurst; bean throwing, Mrs McMillan; shooting, Mrs D. Thompson. Rev. Coombridge congratulated the winners and extended the thanks of all present to Mr and Mrs Hall for their hospitality.
