GOLDINGHAM AND BECKETT’S BEAT HIGHWAYS TRANSPORT NINE WICKETS FOR 40 BY VINING The annual cricket match between Goldingham and Beckett, Ltd., and the Highways Transport Co., was held during the week-end. The second innings scores were as follows: Highways 71, Smith (23) being top man, Ormond (18) next. Palmer took 4 for 18, Harkness 4 for 25. G. and B. replied with 101 (Madgwick 60, Fielding 12) and bowling for Highways Viuing took nine for 40. Vining, the smallest man in the game, bowled particularly well to secure his phenomenal average.
