Thieves Raid Art And Jewel Collection
Received Sunday, 7 p.m. LONDON, Feb. 19. Eluding the watchdogs at Claude Debernale’s home, Alton Lodge, Roehampton, thieves removed a pane of glass from a window and stole pictures and unmounted jewels valued at £3OOO. Debernale’s art collection, according to the Daily Mail, was worth a quarter of a million.
