WEEEL-END ACCIDENTS A collision between a car driven by Mr. W. G. Shannon, of Newbury, and another driven by Mr. Robert A. Burt, of 418 Ferguson street, Palmerston North, occurred late yesterday afternoon at the intersection of the Bunny-thorpe-Kairanga road and Roberts line. Mr. Burt’s car struck the rear of Mr. Shannon’s car and rolled over twice, finally coming to rest on its side, a complete wreck. The driver and a lad named Js,ck Winton, aged 12 years, of 12 Colombo street, Palmerston North, crawled out with nothing more serious than, a severe shaking. Miss Kathleen Winton, aged 23 years, was thrown out when tho motor turned over to suffer brui.ses and shock that necessitated her having hospital attention. Mr. Shannon had three passengers, but none suffered injury. The impact turned this car completely round and it finished up alongside the road fence. On Saturday night a car driven by Mr. H. Beazor, of Hakino road, Feeding, left the highway near the Mangaone bridge, Milson line, and ended up in a drain. Tho driver suffered slight concussion and was taken to hospital.
