At tlie monthly meeting of the Foxton Borough Council the treasurer reported that during the months of December and Tanuarv. the sum of £3,549, 11s 7d was received and banked as follows: District fund account, 3547 Is 7d, cemetery account £2 10s. The ledger balances at January 31 were as follow: Accounts at debit totalled £3044 18s Id. and were made up as follow: Gas account, £2 -“'| 15s; general account £240 9s 4d. hospital account £125 Is lid; waterworks, £4s* lis lOd. The accounts at credit "ereRate arrears £4Ol 17s lOd, cemetery £lB5 15s sd, heavy traffic £196 14s Id. interest £ 1406 Is 3d, library £2O 19s lid; reserves £2ll 2s sd, town hall £B5l 8s 7d, dwellings £B9 7s Bd, making a total ot £3,423 7s 2d. . . . The gasworks manager reported that the usual routine work liad been carried out and consumers’ requirements attended to.
