Further Harbour Victims

Received Friday, 9 p.m. SYDNEY, Feb. 18 Five bodies of victims of the capsize of the launch Rodney, three girls and two women, were recovered by police in various parts of the harbour this morning. This makes 17 bodies which have been recovered. Inquiries are now being made about a young couple and a baby who, according to two of the survivors, were in the cabin of the Rodney just before the vessel overturned. The live bodies picked up to-day have been identified as: Dulcie Rasmussen, aged 27; Betty Rasmussen, aged 10; Lorna Giles, aged 18; Violet Larsen, aged 15; Enid Cookson (or Allen) aged 7. Two known to be missing are Mrs. Erica Davies, aged 40; and Nellie Scott, aged 20. Several of the victims were the sole breadwinners in their homes. Three of the bodies recovered to-day were floating off Bradley's Head, near where the launch foundered. The two others were some -distance away. The Lord Mayor's relief fund has reached the total of £514. REMAINING TWO BODIES FOUND Received Saturday, 12.15 a.m. SYDNEY, Feb. 18. The remaining two bodies, making seven for the day, were found in the harbour this afternoon, but so far have not been identified. The total deathroll is thus 19.
