Premature Explosion at Quarry
THREE MEN INJURED Per Press Association. WANGANUI, Feb. 17. On Tuesday evening, due to a premature explosion at the AVaipuna quarry at Raetihi, J. Bristol, H. Haitana, and J. Roach were taken to the Raetihi Hospital. The former was slightly injured aud has resumed work. Mr. Haitana is suffering from shell and rock fragments in the eyes, and Mr. Roach has a badly lacerated hand. Both are still in hospital. The men are residents of Raetihi, being employed by the Public Works Department.
