A Little About Shirley Temple

The latest "sensation” from Hollywood is that Shirley Temple has changed her stylo of hairdressing! In all probability it is not so much the young actress herself, as the company sue works for, which has decided to do away with her now world-famous ringlets. Shirley, just like all other children, grows older from year to year—and the company is now seriously considering making a series of films in which she is to act rather less childish part 3 than those she has taken up to now. In her next film she will play the part of a schoolgirl, and therefore have a different hair style. Another—and almost more interesting piece of news is that at present Shirley Temple is acting with —false teeth! The reason for this is only natural, Shirley has lost her milkteeth, and the new' ones can unfortunately not be induced to appear immediately! The American movie world has great expectations of Shirley Temple; a wellknown film expert has said with confidence that in 1945 people all over the world will crowd into the cinemas to see the great film actress Shirley Temple. But Shirley need have no fears as to the future—and it is also

quite unnecessary, since she at present earns a hundred thousand pounds or so a year!

An American journalist recently paid the young lady a visit in Hollywood. He reported that Shirley was not a bit different from all other little girls of the same age. She was sweet and quite natural, and did not seem to have any idea of the fact that she was world famous. “If she realises that,” he concluded, “Shirley Temple is undoubtedly the greatest actress in the world.”
