Visits to Court
EDUCATION BOARD ADVERSE Per Press Association. AUCKLAND, Feb. IG. Criticism of a city school teacner who was reported to have taken a class of children to the {Supreme Court during the recent criminal sessions to gTve them an insight into civic life was voiced by members of the Education Board this morning. It was stated that the teacher had embodied the Court visit in the special hot weather curriculum advised by the Education Department. Members expressed the opinion that there were pleuty of opportunities for studying civic life without bringing the sordid side before children.
Although the members made it clear that they did not approve of the visit, no motion was passed.
