Sit-down Strike in Gaol
AMERICAN PRISONERS’ STAND United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright. Received Wednesday, 11 p.m. NEW YORK, Feb. 10. Following an unsuccessful attempt by 300 to escape, 1000 prisoners at Concord (Massachussetts) reformatory are conducting a sit-down strike, refusing to leavo their cells. Two hundred guards and 26 troopers equipped with machine-guns, riot guns and tear gas are on 24-hour duty.
