Confiscated Maori Lands

NATIVES CONFER WITH MINISTER Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, Last Night. A conference of considerable importance to members of the native race was opened in Parliament Buildings today, when representatives of the claimants discussed with the Minister of Lands (Hon. F. Langstone) the question of confiscated Maori lands. The conference, which is private, may last for a couple of days, and an effort is to be made to reach a satisfactory settlement* of the problem. It arises out of an undertaking given by the Prime Minister (Rt. Hon. M. J. Savage) some time ago t* have the whole question thoroughly discussed.
