The Guaranteed Price
PENNY INCREASE FORECAST Per Press Association. WHANGAKEI, July IG. While some quarters estimate the increase in the guaranteed price this •eneon at about 3d a lb., Mr F. Elliott, chairman of directors of the Hikurangi Co-operative Dairy Co., Ltd., at the annua! meeting yesterday considered that the Government would give favourable consideration to increasing the price and that dairy suppliers would get something like a penny extra He did not expect a decision until Mr Nash returned. He also anticipated that the Government at an early date would take control of the marketing of butter within New Zealand. Air Elliott made it clear that his estimate was purely an individual assumption but tlrat is was based on good data.
