At this week’s meeting of the Hast ings Retailers' Association, a letter was received from the Hawke’s Bay Rugby Union asking that a holiday be granted on the occasion of the visit of the Springboks to Napier on Wednesday, September 35. Members of the ivetailers' Association expressed regret that the date fixed did not coincide with the weekly half-holiday, and it was decided that no action be .taken.
