Splendid Rugby is Scheduled To-day

TWO SENIOR GAMES IN CITY 1 Special interest attaches to to-day’s 1 Rugby competition games, as the representative team to play Wanganui next ! Wednesday will be finalised; thus all players will be giving of their very 1 best to be in the running for honours. 1 The programme of fixtures is again an attractive one, and patrons at the Show--1 grounds can choose between two games —Kia Toa v. Feilding on the oval, and Massey College v. Old Boys on No. 2 ground. Feilding Old Boys will be at home to WoodvHle, and St. Patrick’s have a bye. Feilding are a vastly improved side and Kia Toa will require much of their last week’s form to score another win. At Woodville last week Massey College j showed signs of developing into a good team and, benefiting from their first outing, must keep Old Boys busy tomorrow. While the Manawatu A team is away at Wanganui on Wednesday next the .Manawatu B team will meet Horowhenua in a representative fixture at the Showgrounds, which will follow the seven-a-side tournament also set down for that day.

FIRST REPRESENTATIVE GAME NEXT WEDNESDAY The first representative game of the season will be held next Wednesday at the showgrounds, when Manawatu will be at home to Horowhenua, and an attractive match is promised. In addition, there will be a seven-aside tournament, with the three finals to bo played as curtain raiser to the representative match. An attractive day’s programme of Rugby is thus provided. The charges will be adults Is, children j 6d, for admission, and adults an. additional 6d. to the stands.
