Still Squally and Changeable Per Press Assucmuun. WELLINGTON, Last Night. A fleep and complex westerly depression is crossing the Dominion, while an intense 'anti-cyclone covers Australia and is extending on to the Western Tasman Sea. Winds: North-westerly to westerly at first in most places, but a change to southerlies extending from tho south over the Dominion by to-morrow morning; force moderate to strong generally and of gale force at exposed positions. Seas (New Zealand waters): Bough to high on the West Coast and about Cook and Foveaux straits, elsewhere moderate, but later rising.

Eastern Tasman Sea: South-west to southerly winds, strong to gale force, with rough to high seas. Weather: Still squally and changeable, with heavy rain at times in most districts and, in places, thunder and hail. Temperatures becoming very cold, with snow on the high levels. Improving to-morrow on tho West Coast of the South Island.
