Infantile Paralysis
A CASE AT HAWARDEN Per Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, June 4. In spite of the fact that a further case of infantile paralysis was reported to the Health Department to-day, the statistics show clearly that the epidemic is waning fast, the reduction in the number of cases being particularly satisfactory as far as South Island notifications are concerned. For the week ended May 17 the South Island total was 15 cases; in the following week it dropped to 10; and for the week ended last Monday it was six. The case notifie'J to-day was that of a woman aged 25, who was admitted to the Christchurch Hospital from Hawarden.
