Manawatu Winter Show
For some time there has been great activity at the Palmerston North Showgrounds among those who are preparing t>bow stands. Almost all the available space was let to exhibitors weeks ago and now there remain only a handful of stands available for late-comers. Complete re-modelling of the lay-out of their stalls has been undertaken by most dairy machinery vendors, with the result that already it is apparent that new and novel methods of display will arrest the attention of show patrons. The Motor Olympia will be completed ro-modelled and re-decorated in most dignified and pleasing taste. Entries are so numerous in the competitive sections that great difficulty is being experienced in planning the lay-out for these exhibits. It is expected that there will be at least as many Women's Institute courts as at tho famous Golden Jubilee Winter t'how. Word has come from the show office that there is every indication that when the final mail entries are catalogued new records will be set up in nearly all sections of tho show. It is also learned that applications for side-show and amusement space are so numerous as to be almost embarassing. In this department there will be such attractions as scoota-boats, dodgems, water chute, merry-go-round, chair-o-plane, miniature railway, devil plane, etc., etc.
