Wether Market Firm At Stortford Yesterday

ERRATIC LAMB SALE From Our Own Correspondent. HASTINGS, May 26. A yarding oT 34,000 sheep was offered at Stortford Lodge to-day, when tin market for wethers was firm, but easier than yesterday’s values nt Waipukurau for breeding ewes. Mt. Cameron w/Jtk* ers topped tho market at 25/7, and a vrell-done “Tauroa” Station line showing a Corriedalo cross, many being ready to hang up, brought 25/2. The market for lambs was erratic, with a good inquiry for forward, healthy, well-woolled carry-over wether lambs. Nicely-grown shorn wethei lambs made 18/D. Small-grown woolly sorts, light in condition, were slow to trade, making to 14/-. Five-year breeding ewes carrying a good slip© made 24/3, the selling for these lots being slow, with little inquiry.
