Death Follows Accident
MR. J. W. MILLS SUCCUMBS TO INJURIES Mr. J. WT Mills, who was admitted to The Pahiatua Public Hospital as the result of injuries received from a fall from a scaffolding a fortnight ago, died yesterday morning. Mr. Mills was working on Messrs Murphy Bros.' house at Ballance when the accident took place and was immediately rushed to hospital. It was found that he had sustained grievous injuries to his spine which were followed by paralysis, and although hope was held out until the last, Mr. Mills gradually failed and passed away yesterday morning. Mr. Mills leaves a widow and four grown-up sons to mourn their loss— Messrs J. Mills, B. Mills, A. Mills and R. Mills.
