Mrs J. Maris, Awahuri, has had as her guest for the past week Mrs J. D. Campbell, Mangaore, Shannon. Mrs Burgin, Epsom, Auckland, is spending several weeks as the guest of her son and daughter-in-law, Rev. and Mrs E. W. Burgin, the Vicarage, Foxton. Mrs. W. J. West, of Dunedin, arrived in Palmerston North last evening and is the guest of her niece, Mrs. F. G. Major, Argyle avenue. To-morrow Mrs. Major, accompanied by Mrs. West, will join her sister, Mrs. W. G. Short and Miss Judy Short (Cheltenham), leaving on a motor trip to Rotorua.
Among the Gisborne visitors to Palmerston North for the wedding of Miss Nancy Morton, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. C. Morton, to Mr. R. Black, of Gisborne, on Friday, will be Mr. and Mrs. E. R. Black, Misses F. Black and Gillingham, Mr. P. Foxley and Messrs I G. and R. Foxley, Mr. and Mrs. J. iMonckton and Mr. and Mrs. Jackman.
