T3REAK 3 eggs in a basin; whisk gently, then add 21b. castor sugar. Stand over a basin of boiling water and whisk till thick. Then lightly mix in sifted 3oz. flour, 4 teaspoon grated lemon rind, 4 teaspoon baking powder and 12-14' drops of Steven’s ff Cathedral Brand” Essence of Vanilla. Bake 40 minutes to one hour in greased tin.
On Sunday, May 2, the death occurred in Oamaru of' Mrs Ronald Orbell, wife of Dr Orbell, who till a few years ago was prominent in New Zealand ladies* golf. She had a wonderful record in the North Otago club, being champion from 1911 to 1933 inclusive, except in 1913 and 1932. Her record of 21 years’ champion is believed to be a New Zealand record in ladies’ golf.
