Mobile Force British Army Need
LESSON OF RECENT YEARS. (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, March 16. In introducing the Army Estimates in the House of Commons the Minister for War, Mr. A. Duff Cooper, said that the experiences of the last twelve years, a period generally regarded as one of peaco but during which hardJy a single year had passed without borne special and unexpected situation arising to interfere with the normal activities of the Army, should convince the House that an Expeditionary Force equipped to the highest point of efficiency must at ali times be maintained. Dealing with the contemplated developments, he said it had been decided that a mobile brigade containing only one tank regiment would be lacking m punch and protective power, and iu future the mobile brigade would consist of a fully-mechanised infantry battalion.
