Floating Aerodrome Launched at Kiel
TO BE USED ON TRANS-ATLANTIC SERVICE United Press Association— : By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright. BERLIN, March 16. Christened the Friesenland by the Postmaster-General, tho floating aerodrome constructed by the Lufthansa Company lor the Fayal base of the ait mail servico to America has beeu launched at Kiel. She has a tonnage of 6500 and a speed of 16 knots, and can catapult a 16-ton mail-carrying aeroplane. The other floating aerodrome, the Schwabenland, will be stationed 1485 miles off New York. The service is expected to begin in June.
