Fresh Paralysis Case
Suspected Case Admitted From Bainesse NOW THREE IN DISTRICT A suspected case of infantile paralysis from Bainesse has been notified tq the senior inspector of health ut Palmerston North, Mr. S. B. Reed. The patient is an adult woman, and she was admitted to the Palmerston North Hospital yesterday afternoon for ob servation. This brings the total number of cases notified in the district to three—two positive and one suspect. The two patients who were admitted to hospital on Monday suffering in each case from slight paralysis of a foot, are progressing satisfactorily. MAORIS NOT ALLOWED TO TRAVEL NORTH. Per Press Association. WAIROA, Last Night. As a result of the outbreak of infan tile paralysis in Hastings, the Health inspector in Wairoa has received advice from the Department of Health that no Maoris south of Napier are to be allowed to travel to Nuhaka for the big Mormon hui to bo held there at Easter. It is anticipated that the attendance at the hui will be between 1600 and 1800 Maoris. MILD POSITIVE CASE AT OAMARU. OAMARU, March 17. A boy aged five years who was admitted to hospital yesterday morning has now been diagnosed as a mild positive case of infantile paralysis.
