Rongomai
From Our Own Correspondent. During the Aveek-end the local cricket team tested their skill against tho Putara team. Though, perhaps, the Putara team had the upper hand, an enjoyable game ensued. Rongomai made 59 in the first innings and Putara made 90. In tne second innings Rongomai made 123 and Putara 160, Putara winning by 68 runs. At the conclusion of the game the Rongomai captain, Mr Pearson, thanked the Putara team for the game and .their hospitality. He hoped that Rongomai would have tho opportunity of reciprocating be-. Core the close of the season. Next week the lpcal team will meet Tiraumea on the home pitch and a good game should be In store for the spectators. A farewell evening will he tendered Miss 'P. LoWes in the school cm March 24.' Miss. Lowes will bo sailing for England by , the Rangitata on April 1.
