Hawke Cup
SOUTH AUCKLAND TEAM. The following team has been selected lo represent South Auckland in a chal lengo match for tho Hawke Cup to be played against Alanawatu at Palmerston North, commencing on Easter Saturday; R. Skcet (captain), P. Williams, K. Truscott, T. Lyon, R. Clough, A. J. Aitken, H. Going, W. J. Cassidy, E. Everest, J. Everest, W. Higginson. Mr. L. F. Casey has been appointed manager. S. A. R. Badeley, the former Auckland Plunlcet Shield representative, was not available and a twelfth man has yet to be selected. A northern writer comments:—“Prospects for South Auckland in their match for the Hawko Cup with Alanawatu at Palmerston North are only middling, for although the team is fairly strong jn bowling, few of the batsmpn have yet
