Scientific Detection Theme of “Expert’s Opinion”

CAPABLE CAST ASSEMBLED FOE BRITISH THRILLER (Kosy: Screening To-day.) Experts ’s Opinion” is a powerful melodramatic story of espionage and international intrigue, with action and romantic interest which is maintained throughout the entire length of the picture. Some wonderful "stunt” flying at Heston, au Old Bailey murder trial, a police raid on a shady night-club, a coroner’s inquest, a gun demonstration, and scenes in an armament factory, coupled with excellent acting by the whole of the cast, make a picture that is above the average in entertainment value. The story concerns the arrest ‘of an actress, Molly Fisher, for the murder of her partner, who is shot during tho performance of their shooting act. At her trial, she is acquitted on tho strength of the evidence given by Leslie Perrins, a gunnery expert. Perrins perfects a new gun for aircraft, which will revolutionise aerial warfare, but Kim Peacock, his assistant, who is in tho pay of a foreign country tricks Lucille Lisle, Perrins’ wife, into revealing the formula. In the fight to cover the formula Peacock is killed, and suspicion falls on Miss Lisle. The whole situation is clarified in the exciting climax at the inquest, presided over by Laurence Han-

ray, who gives a neat study as the querulous coroner. "Expert’s Opinion” is a screen adaptation of a story by Guillan Hopper, and Leslie Perrins, who portrays the leading role in a capable fashion, is adequately supported by Kim Peacock, Lucille Lisle and Molly "Fisher.
