Results in connection with the Trinity College of Alusic theory examinations held in December last are announced as follows: Rudiments of music, Miss Gray 92 (Mr. Crump); senior division, Marion Billing 65 (Mrs Golding); junior division, James Baxter 100 (Airs. Golding).
A petrol bowser pump erected on the footpath opposite the premises of Messrs. Abrabam and Williams in Alanchester street was knocked over when a motor-car driven by Air. J. W. Par sons, of btanway, was endeavouring to turn into an alleyway from .the road. The pump suffered considerable damage but little petrol escaped.
